Slack adds Executives

Slack, has added their second independent member to their Board of Directors. Edith Cooper joins with more than 30 years of experience building successful teams in major organizations. Most recently, Edith served as the Global Head of Human Capital Management at Goldman Sachs, which means she oversaw everything related to talent and teams for a company of more than 30,000 people—from recruiting and retention to creating and sustaining a healthy culture. Her appointment is one of several recent changes the corporate-software startup has made to run itself more like a public company. They also announced Allen Shim as the company’s first CFO. Shim has been with Slack almost since its founding (employee number 20) and has former Wall Street experience as an equity research analyst with both Sanford C. Bernstein and Citigroup. ProsperWorks Beefs Up Executive Team

New CTO at WireWheel

Ed Peters has been appointed as the new Chief Technology Officer with Wirewheel. Peters will be responsible for evolving WireWheel's technology strategy. With two decades of engineering and leadership experience, he has a track record of building and scaling global technology platforms, scaling IT systems, deepening machine learning expertise and driving roadmap execution to help create the world's best data privacy and protection experience. "The time is right for data privacy to be elevated to a strategic initiative in the enterprise. Heidi Melin Joins Workfront

Heidi Melin is the new Chief Marketing Office at Workfront. She will be responsible for telling the Workfront story, creating and executing an integrated marketing strategy, driving increased awareness, and building a customer marketing function to deepen Workfront's customer relationships. Previously Melin was the CMO of Plex Systems, Inc., she also previously served as CMO at Eloqua, Polycom, Taleo, Hyperion, and was the group vice president of marketing at PeopleSoft. "Heidi is the perfect person to take on the role of CMO here at Workfront," said Alex Shootman, CEO of Workfront. "We need a person who is a modern, revenue-centric marketer, who has the knowledge and experience to help Workfront become known globally as the Operational System of Record for managing modern work, and someone with experience in the complexities of marketing to large, global companies.  Heidi is that person. Changes at HubSpot

John Kinzer has announced that he is stepping down as the CFO at the end of 2018. "My more than four years at HubSpot have been an amazing experience, working with a very talented group of people to help our customers grow better, and building a big business in the process," said Kinzer. "Heading into 2018 HubSpot has never been on stronger footing, and I look forward to ensuring a smooth transition in the coming months." Google’s Jonathan Williams joins HubSpot, In his new role as Head of Marketing for Australia and New Zealand. Williams spent six years running marketing programs at Google in the UK and Australia, and before that held several marketing manager roles at PayPal. He will be based in Hubspot’s Sydney office. Promotion from Within

Cloudera has promoted Amy O'Connor to Cloudera's senior management team as the company's Chief Data and Information Officer. O'Connor will lead a new team that will include customer digital experience, internal business systems, data science and analytics, IT operations and information security. O'Connor joined Cloudera in 2013 from Nokia, where she built and led their global data and analytics team and where she was an early Cloudera customer. "I am excited to bring our data-driven initiatives to a greater level of maturity here at Cloudera, where we run our business on our own Cloudera Enterprise Data Hub along with a combination of other cloud-based services. And also I look forward to continuing to share our data-driven best practices with our customers - assisting them in raising their own maturity in using data and Cloudera's products and services to run their businesses," said O'Connor. A New Location for ITProTV

ITProTV the learning & development solutions provider announced the opening of a UK Office in Brighton. "We see strong potential in the UK market and in the region in general," ITProTV CEO Tim Broom said. "This opening further demonstrates ITProTV's long-term vision and investment to further expand into international markets, to support our members, and to develop client acquisition activities worldwide," he said. Smartlogic Expands Executive Team

Smartlogic has recently added Lisa Bos, who joins Smartlogic as SVP of Technology and Barry Bealer who joins Smartlogic as SVP of Account Management.  Both previously were co-founders of RSI Content Solutions subsidiary of Orbis Technologies. Bos was Corporate Executive Vice President, Content Management, where she was responsible for the vision and execution of the integration of semantic metadata data management features into the CMS. “I believe that data-driven insight and decision-making demand data quality; Semaphore enables that quality. Smartlogic’s vision and customer-centric culture were key in my decision to join the company.” said Bos. Bealer in his recent role was Corporate Executive Vice President, Global Consulting Sales and Services with Orbis Technologies and led a global sales team to deliver machine learning and content management software products and services to their clients. “The expertise Lisa and Barry bring with respect to integrating semantic solutions are welcome additions to the Smartlogic team. Mike Mooney Resigns from Imperva

Chief Revenue Officer Mike Mooney has given his resignation in order to pursue other interests. “I’ve enjoyed my time at Imperva, and wish my colleagues continued success in the future,” stated Mr. Mooney. Heidrick & Struggles, a leading executive search firm, has been retained to assist in recruiting a permanent CRO.  "We are fortunate to have very seasoned Sales leaders who will help ensure continuity while we conduct our search. Oracle Hires Former Salesforce Brazil Head

Former head of Brazil Salesforce, Mauricio Prado has been hired by Oracle as sales Vice President for business applications. Prado will be competing with his old employer in the market for customer relationship management (CRM) systems, as well as SAP and Microsoft in enterprise resource planning applications. Prado had served as the Salesforces Vice President for cloud services for Latin America and the Caribbean. Read more: Here

Guseva Lands at Gartner

Irina Guseva has joined Gartner as a research director focusing on web content management (WCM). The WCM industry analyst joins Gartner from BloomReach., where she served as head of global product marketing and as senior director of product marketing. "I am elated to have joined Gartner as research director for WCM. After almost 20 years in the industry, I couldn’t be in a better place. It’s truly an honor to be working alongside the many brilliant analysts I’ve been following all these years," she said.

Progress Expands Board of Directors

Sam King, Senior Vice President, General Manager and Chief Strategy Officer of Veracode, and Angela Tucci, Chief Executive Officer of Apto, join Progress' Board of Directors. The two accomplished technology leaders are important additions to the Board, bringing valuable software industry experience, entrepreneurship and diversity. Read more: Here

IBM sues Microsoft's new Chief Diversity Officer

Microsoft’s new Chief Diversity Officer Lindsay-Rae McIntyre worked at IBM for more than 20 years, accepted a new job at Microsoft, and is now being sued by her former employer for allegedly violating a non-compete clause. McIntyre, who "abruptly resigned to compete against IBM", was in possession of highly confidential and sensitive information about IBM's diversity strategies, hiring targets, technologies and innovations, IBM said in the lawsuit filed in a New York federal court on Monday. QVC, Inc. Searches For New CFO

QVC, a global leader in video commerce and a leader in ecommerce, mobile commerce and social commerce announced the stepping down of Ted Jastrzebski. Ted has decided to pursue a new opportunity outside of the retail industry. New CEO for FollowAnalytics

FollowAnalytics, the leader in Enterprise Mobile Success and GDPR compliance, announces the appointment of Pascal Laik as CEO and to the Board of Directors. Marketo Expands Leadership

Marketo contunes to expand its leadership with newly appointed Arun Anantharaman from Adobe Systems who will become its new Chief Product Officer. New CTO Announced at  Umbraco

Jacob Midtgaard-Olesen will take over the Chief Technology Officer position. Jacob has been working with cloud based SaaS products for the past 7 years, first as a Java developer and later as Development Manager and VP of Engineering with Zmags. "As the CTO at Umbraco I’ll be very focused on ensuring that all the different ingredients needed to build great teams, products, software and services are present and get the love and attention they need and deserve. I’ll be involved in a lot of activities such as people management, technology management, methodology evolvement, product planning and communication.” Shannon Deminick the previous CTO decided to concentrate more time on building great Umbraco functionality getting back to code. Nuxeo announed the opening of its new office in Japan.
