Reloaded & Recorded LIVE in Boston

The INTRA.NET RELOADED BOSTON 2016 event took place on April 21-22, 2016, bringing together more than 150 stakeholders from leading American industries who play an active role in intranets, digital workplaces, and enterprise collaboration networks. CMS-Connected participated as a Media Partner at the event and recorded the April episode with a live audience. Our hosts Tyler Pyburn and Scott Liewehr welcomed a panel of well-known knowledgeable guests to the show including Rachel Butts & Jeff Willinger to discuss the building blocks of a successful employee journey.

The event was organized by we.CONECT Global Leaders GmbH, who are one of the leading companies in Business Information, B2B Digital Media, Business Events, and Business Communities. The 2-day event was a combination of inspirational keynotes and well moderated interactive World Café Sessions, workshops, breakouts, roundtable discussions and networking activities. There were many representatives from giant enterprises who attended including; Coca-Cola, Government of Canada, Interact, RightPoint, who were able to give us insightful interviews about how their Intranet plays a vital role in their organizations. One of our many interviews was from Saskia Hoppe, Senior Manager, Web & Portal Services at Coca-Cola Enterprise sharing her comments on Sharpoint:

Stay tuned for more insightful and fun interviews we captured from the event!

During the event, one of our featured guests, Rachel Butts - Program Manager & Digital Strategist with Children’s Health in Texas, gave such an inspiring case study on developing bulletproof use cases, while our other guest, Jeff Willinger, had a packed session on choosing the right enterprise social network tool. Also, Neal McCarthy and Hannen Malallah from the non-profit organization Oxfam, Ben Wallace of Orrstown Bank, Pamela Stewart and David Moore from the Government of Canada, Laura Grover of QuintilesGiovanni Piazza the Global Head of Information and Knowledge Management of Johnson&Johnson and many more, shared interesting and deep insights on intranets by giving real life examples from their workplace experiences. At the end of the weekend, we all left the event with pages and pages of ideas thanks to so many inspiring and innovative speakers.

We received the bad news regarding the death of Prince, the American legend musician on April 21st, so in honor of him, Jeff Willinger started the Prince Wave with the live audience:

The recording of the CMS-Connected show kicked off with a bang! From the hopping music, to the shocking new story commentary to the smart on-point content from our guests.  Here are a few sneak peaks:

”Many organizations haven’t realized that having a great intranet is the secret sauce to building a great culture,” said Jeff Willinger and gave great advice on how to motivate employees to use their Intranet: “You just can’t expect that you are going to build something and it will drive adoption. You have to give employees a reason to go there and get some quick wins. For many organization, the quick win is the search feature, so let’s make the search amazing.”

When Tyler asked Rachel what the most critical steps are to the employee journey mapping? She said:

"To know that what you know is the most important thing. You can think that you know what your employees are going through, just as lot of leaders do. However, one of the ways that I have tried to find out employee journey at Children’s Health was shadowing the employees by spending eight hours with them and staying overnight to follow the housekeeper, so that I could know where they are using technology and where they have questions that they don’t know how to answer. I know it is kind of old-school and takes a lot of time, but this is the best way to make employee journey mapping more successful and relevant."

After the recording, we handpicked the winner from the CMS-Connected Draw. The winning prize won the opportunity to host the CMS-Connected Show at their office!  Are you curious who won the free publicity?

Make sure to set your reminder to catch the release of the show on WHY NO ON IS TALKING ABOUT THE EMPLOYEE JOURNEY this Friday, April 29th at 9:30am PT / 12:30pm ET!  You wont want to miss these hilarious brilliant guests and topics.
