RushHive Making Mobile Apps More Accessible

The popularity of mobile apps shows no sign of slowing down and many businesses and independent entrepreneurs are eager to develop their own app. Nearly all communications that occur are in the digital realm, customers connecting using their smart phone and tablets etc. but many smaller companies have a hard time keeping up with the technology due to the costs involved.

I came across this press release “RushHive Announces Grand Opening and Launch of New Mobile Application Platform” and I was curious to see what made this communication mobile app different and stand out from the crowd. Coining the phrase “One-Stop Communication Hub” RushHive is intending to be a quick and fast communication hub where multiple businesses and customers can connect.

"Businesses need to focus on the day-to-day needs of the business itself, not the creation of mobile applications. Yet at the same time, businesses have a hard time competing without a mobile communications presence; and customers want that too. RushHive is the economical answer to this dilemma," RushHive CEO/Founder Eric Stadter said.

While most of the mobile communication apps are just platforms for general communications; messaging, voice, video file sharing, RushHive provides a different offering, being leased based you have to sign up for the monthly service.  The uniquely designed system allows you to have a central place where customers or others you know have a way of communicating information with you. This allows clients to make requests and allow for tracking of completed items. From making appointments, to placing orders or just communicating with clients all in real-time.

There is no need to understand code, since it uses a drag and drop system, that allows you to create online forms or templates of information that you would like to send in order to provide services to your connections. Companies are able to customize the interface to suit their style and needs with their specifications.

I was able to connect with Eric Stadter who is the CEO and Founder of RushHive to find out a little more about the company and its offerings.

Could you tell me a little bit about how the company came about, what was your vision that brought you here?

"The company started after experiencing probably what most people do every day when they are dealing with routine things they need to accomplish. Sometimes finding a convenient time to make needed phone calls or run errands often is just hard to come by. Even when that call can be made, it sometimes includes giving the same information for routine requests, which just feels repetitive and unnecessary. Consider even a simple situation such as being at work and having to deal with an urgent situation which will result in missing a scheduled appointment. You need to make the phone call to reschedule, but you’re pressured by the problem you need to solve at work. Most times, these things can be handled in the background while still having a level of urgency. If you have a way of accomplishing the same thing through a few taps on your mobile device, you’ve just quickly taken care of that situation. However, there is usually some information that the person you are communicating with needs to be able to take care of you. If they have this information up front, it’s much easier on both of you to resolve what you’re looking for. This way, you can send a request and continue with what you were doing while the other party works on it and responds. RushHive’s goal is to offer the tools that makes it so that it’s easier, and faster, for both the sender and the receiver."

What sets you apart from other communication mobile apps that are available? Did you see the need to create your own?

"
There are apps that work well for the business that they are intended for. Some of these are company specific -- something that an individual company invested in to offer to their customers as a tool unique to itself. This has its advantages as they know their business best and can offer an experience tailored to it. What is missing is the interaction that businesses who don’t already have a mobile app can offer customers by accepting requests through a mobile platform designed to make it easier to get in touch with them. For the business owner, this also allows them to get a more objective look at how some of their services are used as well as having another method of attracting new customers. Naturally, businesses focus on the core of what they do and may not have the time to consider the investment necessary to produce their own business app. This is where RushHive can help a company be dynamic in the what they offer online and the conveniences that a mobile app provides at the same time."

Your company is still fairly new, where do you see your company's growth/focus in the next 3-5 years?

"I think as much as we see mobile as part of our everyday lives, businesses cannot ignore the potential in connecting with customers. Our focus will be on incorporating ways that just keep increasing the ease by which a customer and business can reach each other. By the way, while we’ve talked mostly about businesses here, this is equally applicable to any type of group or organization that has similar needs and is just as adaptable."

Ending Notes

With business digital transformation occurring rapidly, businesses have to offer a more of a real-time experience. Dealing with a relentless stream of messages and communications, businesses need to find a viable solution on being more attentive and productive for their client needs.

According to OpenMarket, 83% of millennials open text messages within 90 seconds of receiving them. Considering 6 BILLION text messages are sent every day in the US, you can imagine how often your employees are picking up their phones in the office. Millennials aren’t the only people using smartphones,  the Pew Center for Research, states 95% of Americans own a cellphone of some kind, and 77% of them own smartphones.

With mobile usage continually increasing, companies that embrace the evolution will be the ones who can increase engagement and optimize productivity.  With that said, I'm curious to see the growth of RushHive and see how they make an impact in the industry.
