Amazon Textract is a new new Optical Character Recognition (OCR) service from Amazon that allows customers to extract metadata across all types of documents.
The combination of Alfresco’s open architecture and Amazon Textract’s intelligent information processing means that joint customers can now take a mass ingestion of information and classify its data faster than ever before. Working together, these technologies can deliver powerful new capabilities for image-oriented applications that are scalable via AWS services. The speed at which highly scalable intelligent solutions can be built on Alfresco and AWS results in faster time to value for our customers.
At Alfresco, we want to make document processing and content management as simple as possible. Since a document management system is only as good as its input, it is critical that customers have access to foundational tools that can automatically and accurately extract key information from digitized documents.
With Amazon Textract, customers can now automatically extract not just the text in a document - but information from tables and forms in a manner that allows them to further automate data entry and facilitate faster business decisions. Integration with Amazon Textract is enabling Alfresco to provide greater data integrity, security compliance, and the ability to automate new business processes faster than ever. And most importantly, all of this helps us better assist our customers in their digital transformation journey.
