ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA (January 11, 2018) – CoreMedia, developer of the best-of-breed content management platform, Content Cloud, today announced the appointment of Bob Balfe as Vice President of Solution Architects, Americas. In this role, Balfe will guide brands and retailers across the region to deliver iconic digital experiences. “We’re excited Bob has joined CoreMedia,” said Sören Stamer, CoreMedia’s CEO. “His expertise in eCommerce, software development, technical sales, and strategy will add tremendous value to our team and accelerate growth. We’re positive he’ll play a major role in establishing the credibility of CoreMedia among our prospects and installed base in the Americas.” Balfe brings three decades of experience as a software engineer, including 18 in senior management positions, along with a lifelong passion for producing thought leadership about technology. Areas of expertise include omnichannel eCommerce and marketing, supply chain management, content management, digital experience, and SaaS solutions. “I’ve always had real admiration for CoreMedia as a company and deep respect for their software, which makes marketers and merchandisers more productive while providing innovative solutions in the content management space,” said Balfe. “I’m excited to lead the solution architects team in the Americas and work with our customers to help them realize digital experience goals.” Bob comes to CoreMedia from IBM’s Watson Customer Engagement division where,as Distinguished Engineer,he managed a team of solution architects and developers supporting worldwide pre-sales demonstrations and partner integrations. His team was known for creating innovative tools to streamline demonstration capabilities of over 20 offerings. Previously, he was a senior developer leading a global team working on IBM’s Lotus and Domino product lines.
