More Layoffs for Snap

In it's second round of layoffs, Snap is letting go of 100 more employees, mostly in advertising and sales. "Over the past two years our company has grown a tremendous amount. Late last year we asked senior leaders across Snap to look closely at their teams to ensure they had the right resources and organizations to support their missions," Chief Strategy Officer Imran Khan said in a statement. "As a result, new structures have been put in place for Content, Engineering, Sales and many other parts of Snap."  Read more: Here

New Board Member

Hilarie Koplow-McAdams has joined BloomReach’s board of directors. Changes to The Board

George Conrades, Chairman of the Akamai Technologies Board of Directors has announced his retirement effective as of June 1 2018 at Akamai's annual shareholder meeting. The board has already appointed Frederic V. Salerno, currently the Company's Lead Independent Director, as Chairman, effective immediately. Frederic V. Salerno, an Akamai board member since 2002 and lead independent director since 2013, will assume the position of chairman of the board. The advice and counsel that Salerno has provided to Akamai management on key strategic initiatives during his tenure has contributed to the company's continued success and growth. He is a veteran technology and telecommunications executive who was most recently vice chairman and chief financial officer of Verizon Communications until his retirement in 2002. “I want to express my deep appreciation to George for his unwavering dedication and tremendous leadership over the past two decades," said Dr. Tom Leighton, Akamai CEO and Co-Founder. New Addition to EdgeWave

EdgeWave a provider of cybersecurity solutions, announced the addition of three new IT and security veterans. The new team members bring expertise and energy to the company's strategic market position, helping EdgeWave further the company's growth in email and web security, and set the stage for additional cybersecurity innovation. Early traction and adoption of ThreatTest is surging and EdgeWave is rapidly growing to address the increasing demand.

Anita Boghoussian joins EdgeWave as their new Vice President of Sales. Boghoussian brings more than 20 years of experience in the IT and cybersecurity industries and was previously a senior director with Dassault Systèmes, providing sales enablement, coaching, mentoring and structuring in the North American market. She has also held senior roles in sales at Websense, Panda Security, and Sun Microsystems.

Gang Ding joins EdgeWave as the Director of Engineering. He will lead the company's development and innovation of network content filtering and cybersecurity products. Before joining EdgeWave, Ding was the director of engineering at ZitoVault, overseeing next-gen endpoint and IoT security solutions, and also served in engineering roles at Qualcomm, Olympus Communication Technology of America and Kiyon.

Aron McGrane joins EdgeWave as the Director of Customer Success. McGrane has more than 15 years of experience in technical support, holding previous positions with Forcepoint and Websense. His appointment enhances EdgeWave's customer service program and strengthens the company's commitment to securing clients from malicious network intrusions. "As businesses and government organizations struggle to balance risk, usability and price in their fight against ever-increasing cyber threats, we at EdgeWave are accelerating our efforts to mitigate those risks and reduce costs and complexity through products like ThreatTest," says EdgeWave CEO Lou Ryan. Ex Oracle VP Joins Synerise

Janusz Naklicki, formerly VP of Technology Sales at Oracle, has joined Synerise, a technology company providing marketing solutions based on Artificial Intelligence. Pluralsight to General Counsel

Matthew Forkner has joined Pluralsight, the enterprise technology learning company as the newest member of the team and General Counsel for Pluralsight. In his new role, Forkner will spearhead all legal matters for Pluralsight. "Matt has been integral in helping some of the biggest names in the tech industry manage risk and global compliance, and complete transformative transactions over nearly 15 years," said Aaron Skonnard, co-founder and CEO of Pluralsight. "We are so excited to have his expertise and guidance as part of our legal team. Nicole Tanzillo Joins Spiceworks

Effective immediately Nicole Tanzillo has been named Vice President of Business Operations at Spiceworks. Tanzillo will lead strategic and operational planning, oversee employee communications, and drive business operations to enable more scalability and growth. Nicole has worked at Spiceworks for more than seven years and was previously the company's executive director of product operations. "Nicole is a transformative force that's been instrumental in reshaping Spiceworks into the company we are today – a platform that connects millions of technology buyers and hundreds of technology brands to help drive their businesses forward," said Jay Hallberg, CEO and co-founder of Spiceworks. Michael Coates Leaves Twitter

Michael-Coates.jpgMichael Coates, Chief Information Security Officer of Twitter has confirmed that he is leaving the company after three years in the role. Coates announced the move in a tweet on Wednesday, saying that he was leaving Twitter to cofound a security startup. A longtime executive in the security industry who once worked at Mozilla, Coates noted on Twitter that he announced his departure internally a few weeks ago. “Twitter has been an amazing ride, but as I mentioned internally a few weeks back, my time is coming to an end. I’m confident to leave the program with an amazing security team. What’s next? I’m off to co-found a security startup - hope to share more about what we’re doing soon!” Read more: Here

Lionbridge Expands Executive Team

Expanding their executive team Lionbridge announced Ken Watson as its Chief Technology Officer. As Lionbridge continues along a path of rapid evolution, innovation, and growth, Watson will support the company's technology transformation. "We are extremely pleased Ken decided to join Lionbridge. New CCO at Demandbase

Demandbase, provider of an AI-powered account-based marketing solution, announced that Trish Sparks has joined the company as chief customer officer. Sparks will lead the company’s customer strategy, scale its customer success function, drive customer outcomes and foster long-term customer growth. Sparks was most recently the head of global customer success at LinkedIn Sales Solutions. Lucid Expands Executive Team

Lucid Software, has expanded their executive team with two new hires: Kat Judd as Vice President of People Operations and Owen Fuller as General Manager of Lucidpress. They will help guide the company as Lucid brings the power of visual communication to over 15 million users in over 180 countries worldwide. Bringing 10 years of experience as an employment law attorney focused on preventative advice and counsel, workplace issues, and employment law training, Kat Judd will lead the company's ongoing efforts to empower employees with the best resources and to foster a culture based on the company's core values, including teamwork over ego, passion, innovation, and ownership.

As the new General Manager of Lucidpress, Lucid's design and brand management software with over 4 million users, Owen Fuller is poised to bring the product to new verticals and industries. Workfront Has a New CFO

Jon Pexton has joined Workfront as the new Chief Financial Officer and a member of the executive leadership team. Pexton will be responsible for all aspects of its financial operations including corporate finance, investor relations, accounting, tax and treasury. Jon joins Workfront with more than 25 years of wide-ranging experience that includes equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, international expansion, and strategic planning at high-growth companies. Expansion and Addition at Commvault

Commvault, a global leader in enterprise backup, recovery, archive and the cloud, made a couple of announcements. Firstly the expansion of its presence in India with a move to a new and bigger office in Hyderabad. The new office to accommodate the emergent demand for its services in India is almost double the area of the old one and is in the prime central location of Madhapur area of Hyderabad in the 'V' Ascendas IT park.

Secondly, they appointed Olaf Duennweller as Area-Vice President - EMEA Central. Duennweller comes to Commvault after nearly 17 years at Veritas, growing through the ranks from Pre-Sales Manager to Country Manager for the entire business in Germany. "His previous role alone makes him one of the most industry-experienced candidates possible, but his appreciation of the opportunity for Commvault to expand and a desire to build on the success we have already achieved in the region was just as important," said Christian Lang, Vice-President, Commvault EMEA. "His strategic partnership and local market experience, along with our shared commitment to people excellence, will accelerate Commvault's expansion across DACH and the wider EMEA region." Promotion from Within

AgileThought, provider of custom software solutions and development consulting to Fortune 1000 clients, announced the promotion of Steven Granese to Vice President of the Transform practice and Taylor Howard to Vice President of the Build practice. In their new roles, each will spearhead the delivery and growth of the key services and solutions provided by AgileThought, which increased revenue by 60 percent in 2017. New CFO at Shopify

Amy Shapero has become Shopify’s new Chief Financial Officer. Shapero will succeed Russ Jones, who has served as Shopify’s Chief Financial Officer since 2011 and helped it grow from a 50-person private company into a publicly traded business with more than 3,000 employees. Jones is retiring but remains a strategic advisor to the company during this transition period. Shapero joins Shopify from Betterment, an online wealth-management service, where she has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2016. “We’re excited to welcome Amy to Shopify as our new CFO,” said Shopify CEO, Tobi Lütke. “Amy brings extensive financial, operational, and strategic experience. This, combined with her deep knowledge of the technology industry and experience scaling high-growth companies, will be a huge asset to Shopify as we enter our next phase of growth and further our mission to make commerce better for everyone." Changes at Teradata

Teradata has named Martyn Etherington as their new Chief Marketing Officer. Etherington, has a distinguished track record of driving top-line results, growing market share, improving customer experience and enhancing brands. He will be reporting to Oliver Ratzesberger, who became Teradata’s Chief Operating Officer earlier this year. Doug Dennerline is On The Move

Enterprise software veteran Doug Dennerline was named BetterWorks Executive Chairman of the Board in November 2017, and now their CEO. Dennerline brings deep experience leading high-growth enterprise software companies and businesses including Alfresco, SuccessFactors, Salesforce and the Collaboration group at Cisco Systems. "As soon as I joined BetterWorks as its Executive Chairman of the Board and began spending time with the team, I was immediately impressed with the depth of the team's commitment to our mission of improving how people grow and develop at work," said Dennerline. Anodot Appoints New CMO

Anodot, the AI powered analytics company, has appointed Andy Fenselau as the new Chief Marketing Officer, based in the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters and Amit Levi as the VP Head of Product, based in the Israel offices. This is the next step in Anodot’s hyper-growth trajectory following a recent $23 million round of funding. New Interim CEO at The OIX

The OIX recently announced Ron Bienvenu as the Interim-CEO. Bienvenu is software and financial industry veteran with 30 years of experience in enterprise SaaS development, among other areas of technology experience and expertise. The company also announced that OIX co-founder and industry thought leader, Danny Bigel, has assumed the role of Chief Strategy Officer. Another New Office

Last month Nuxeo announced the opening of their new office in Japan and this month they announced the opening of its UK office in London (Shoreditch). Nuxeo has also bolstered its UK leadership team, including the appointment of former AIIM analyst, David Jones, as the company’s Director of Product Marketing.
