To help keep you up to date with who’s working where, we’ve launched a new series called Movers & Shakers – a monthly article focused on the ever-changing executives within the content management industry.
This month, Adobe announced two members of their team will be retiring in 2018, Mark Garrett, executive vice president and CFO, and Mike Dillon, executive vice president and general counsel. Both men will stay on until a successor for each is named and will be actively engaged in the internal and external search to fill their roles, all to ensure the transition is seamless and no waves are felt in the company’s overall business operations.
Garrett, 60, has been with Adobe since 2007 and under the guidance of he and his team, the company completed the shift to a cloud-based subscription model growing annual revenue to $7.30 billion at the close of fiscal year 2017, with its revenue from recurring sources having grown from around five percent to more than 85 percent. Omniture, Day Software, Fotolia and TubeMogul are among the several companies Adobe acquired and successfully integrated during Garrett’s time there, accelerating growth and market expansion for the company.
Dillon, 59, joined Adobe slightly more recently than Garrett, (in 2012) but in that time their legal and government relations team has built a shining example of governance, legal affairs, public policy and compliance for the company. Dillon’s passion for the outdoors and environment also carried over into his role as executive sponsor for Adobe’s sustainability programs.
